Animal Husbandry Director Dr. Bhawani Singh Rathore retired on Tuesday after serving 35 years and 10 months of government service.
Rathore was given a heartfelt farewell on behalf of the department.
He was considered as a simple, easy and versatile officer , who had served the department for two years as Director.
On the occasion of Rathore's retirement, Animal Husbandry Minister Joraram Kumawat said that Rathore gave an exemplary display of loyalty, hard work and foresightedness during his tenure. He had set high standards of leadership and motivated everyone to give their best.
Dr. Samit Sharma, Secretary of the Department said that Dr. Bhawani Singh worked as a skilful administrator and a fully dedicated personality towards the state service and the veterinary community. He will be long remembered for the services rendered by Dr Rathore to the department.
Dr. Bhawani Singh Rathore was born in Bikaner district. He received his education in Sikar and Bikaner district. Rathore started his service in 1989 as the officer-in-charge at Talwara Veterinary Hospital in Banswara district.
In the year 1996, he was selected by direct recruitment and became a district level officer. He has rendered his outstanding services to the department while holding the positions of Additional Director Udaipur, Jaipur, Bharatpur and many others. Rathore was also a member of the Indian Veterinary Council.
During his service, Rathore had an invaluable contribution to the formulation of veterinary policy as chairman and member of various committees.
After the retirement of Rathore, Dr. Anand Sejra took over as Director of Animal Husbandry Department. Dr. Anand Sejra is currently working as Additional Director Planning and Supervision.
