In last couple of days, allegations, explanations and clarifications ran high regarding the alleged revolt within the Rajasthan BJP over CM candidature, lobbying and confining few MLAs in resort. Now to put a full stop on kite flying and ensure solidarity among MLAs, BJP national president is going to speak with every MLA in the evening at 7.50 pm.
This is for the first time, party president would be addressing MLAs before the legislative meeting scheduled on Monday. Observers appointed for the meeting – defence minister Rajnath Singh, Rajya Sabha MP Saroj Pandey and national general secretary Vinod Tawde – -are likely to come to Jaipur on Sunday evening.
“This is for the first time BJP is taking so much time in deciding chief minister. There is so much suspense that even two-time chief minister Vasundhara Raje is unsure about her fate,” said a senior BJP leader who lost the election this time.
In last one week since results were out, there have been allegations of forcible confining of MLAs in resort and alleged conspiracy of lobbying for CM. But senior leadership out there in Delhi is prepared to play with the nerves of state leaders taking its own sweet time in declaring the name.
“Journalists, supporters of senior leaders are working overtime to throw names in the air. Everyday a name or two are added and deleted from the imaginary list without any logic or reason. The situation is likely to be there till the time name is not decided and declared,” said Prakash Bhandari, a Jaipur based senior journalist.
