Alert Jaipur Police diffuses tension to avert communal clash

Once again Jaipur swung into action when it was needed the most. The timely action of police averted a possible communal tension when people from a particular community came out on road in large number over death of a after an .

The police eased the tension and appeased the agitating crowd, who alleged that people of other community had purposely beaten up the youth to death.

Commissioner Biju George Joseph, without wasting time sent force on the ground to handle the situation.

“The situation is under control. There is complete peace in the area. We are monitoring the situation tightly and will not allow miscreants to do anything damaging,” said Biju George Joseph.

Additional police commissioners Rahul Prakash and Kunwar Rashtradeep, who were managing the situation form the ground zero, told The BuckStopper that the police is continuously having dialogue with representatives of community.

“The crowd has been disperse. The situation is under control. We have detained around 12 people in the connection of . The investigation is on,” said Rahul Prakash.

Meanwhile Congress MLAs of Adarsh Nagar and Kishanpole – Rafique Khan and Ameen Kagzi engaged with people and cool their nerves. They pacified the crowd and helped police take control of the situation peacefully.

The government has announced a compensation of Ra 50 lakh, a dairy booth and a government job on contract for the deceased family.

How the youth was killed?

The deceased was riding motorcycle on Friday night when he collided with another motor bike in Gangapole area. The deceased, who belonged to a particular community, had a heated argument with an old person of the other community. The argument turned into ugly clash following which the deceased was hit by a iron rod o the head. That resulted into heavy bleeding and the deceased died in SMS hospital.

The death of youth mobilised people of his community who came on road and block the traffic. The timely action of Jaipur police averted any further damage.
