Rajasthan government has instructed all the 50 district collectors to organise district level investors meet, which is a part of Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit to be held from 9-11 December 2024.
These district level meet will be organised as d between October 1 to November 15 at district headquarters.
The district administration in association with Industries department and RIICO will organise the meet.
Rajasthan industries and commerce principal secretary Ajitabh Sharma has written letter to all district incharge secretaries to review the preparations of the meet on their next visit to respective districts.
“Dates and venues of the meet have been finalise and communicated to district administration. In these meets, memorandums of understanding (MoU) for investment in respective districts would be signed between government and participating investors,” wrote Ajitabh Sharma.
Sharma in that letter has also sought participation of district incharge ministers along with secretaries.
The state government is expecting record investment from this summit. In the first roadshow in Mumbai itself, the stage government has signed up MoUs worth more than Rs 4.5 lakh crore. Apart from that, the state government is expecting huge investment from Japan and South Korea, from where a delegation led by chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has just returned.
In the last summit – Invest Rajasthan -2022, around 4,000 MoUs worth Rs 10.44 crore were signed.
“Rajasthan this time is aiming to surpass Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat which have signed MoUS worth Rs 33.5 lakh crore and Rs 26.33 lakh crore respectively in their latest summits,” said a senior official.
Recently, Rajasthan chief secretary Sudhansh Pant had led a delegation to Lucknow and Gandhinagar to study the fine prints of investors summits organised by Uttar Pradesh and Gujarat governments.
Among other officers who accompanied him were additional chief secretary to chief minister Shikhar Agrawal, principal secretaryindustries and RIICO chairman Ajitabh Sharma, principal secretary tourism Gayatri Rathore, commissioner industries and bureau of investment promotion Rohit Gupta, RIICO managing director Nakate Shivprasad Madanand joint secretary to chief minister Sidharth Sihag.
