AGMUT IPS Shivani to join her husband IAS Atul Prakash in Rajasthan on cadre transfer

Shivani, a 2022 batch IPS officer from AGMUT cadre has been transferred to Rajasthan cadre on account of her marriage with Rajasthan cadre Atul Prakash.

Under the Rule 5(2) of the IAS (Cadre) Rules, 1954 and analogous Rules in the IPS (Cadre) Rules, 1954 and IFS (Cadre) Rules, 1966, Inter-cadre transfer shall continue to be permitted for members of All Service officers on marriage to another member of an All India Service, where the officer or officers concerned have sought a change.

Shivani, a native of Muzaffarpur, Bihar has secured 122 rank in the examination. Her father Sunil Kumar is an Officer. An alumnus of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Shivani is married to Atul Prakash, who is 2018 batch IAS officer in Rajasthan.

Who is Atul Prakash?

Atul Prakash is a 2018 batch IAS officer serving as Commissioner of Jodhpur (North) Municipal Corporation. He has also served as joint secretary in energy department before working as chief executive officer of Zila Parishad Dungarpur.

A native of Bihar, he was in top four in UPSC examination. He is an Delhi graduate with sharp mind. He is considered as a bright officer among young IAS officers.
