Ashish Gupta, a 2013-batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre has been appointed as Joint Director (Deputy Secretary level) in the National Testing Agency (NTA) under the Department of Higher Education for a period of four years.
Gupta is currently working as Inspector General, Registration & Stamps in Ajmer.
Gupta has held several important posts including collector in distrusts like Bundi, Jaisalmer Alwar And Banswara. He has also served as commissioner department of information technology and communication during his 12 years long service.
A native of Delhi, Gupta is reportedly married to a doctor which works in AIIMS. He holds graduate degree in engineering and an MBA degree in Finance.

Prakash Rajpurohit also going on deputation
Within a month, Gupta is the second officer going on central deputation from Rajasthan.
A few days back, Prakash Rajpurohit, a 2010 batch IAS officer, who is serving as commissioner commercial tax has been given appointment in centre as director in the department of economic affairs.
Considered as an upright officer, Prakash Rajpurohit has served on key positions including collector Jaipur and excise commissioner in his previous postings. He had also been collector in districts including Ajmer, Jodhpur, Alwar, Hanumangarh and Banswara.
