A day after ED raided his house and offices, Dinesh Khodania said that he will file a defamation suit against BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member Kirodi Lal Meena for accusing him in paper leak.
Khodania, a close aide of Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot, said that he had no role in paper leak and appointment of Babu Lal Katara as RPSC member, which Kirodi Lal Meena has been alleging.
“ED could not find any thing substantive in probe. I have answered to whatever they had asked me. The entire action of ED was politically motivated,” he said.
ED, on Friday, had raided 7 places in Jaipur, Jodhpur and Dungurpur belonging to Dinesh Khodania, his close aide and relative Ashok Jain and one Spurdha Choudhary, who is said to be girlfriend of mastermind fugitive Suresh Dhaka. Spurdha Choudhary is president of women wing of Hanuman Beniwal's Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP) and is likely to contest election from Phulera seat.
ED said that during the search operations, various incriminating documents, copies of sale deeds of various properties, electronic devices and Rs 24 lakh were recovered and seized.
Dinesh Khodania, a prospective candidate of Congress from Udaipur, said that BJP is misusing ED to put pressure on Congress leaders. He has recently been appointed as member in the Shraman Sanskriti Board constituted by Gehlot government.
“Babu Lal Katara and Bhupendra Saharan were arrested long back. Had ED proof against me, why didn't it take action earlier? Action just before assembly election looks politically motivated,” he said.
He said that BJP has no agenda in this election and that is the reason why they are maligning image of Congress government.
