The excise department has issued list of new rates of liquor sold in Rajasthan for the financial year 2025-26.
The list of new rates is available on RSBCL's departmental website https://iems.rajasthan.gov.in which can be viewed online by the general public.
Excise commissioner Nakate Shivprasad Madan said that the list of new rates of liquor has been displayed for the general public on the website.
“Liquor will be sold at the licensed shops according to the new rate list in the state. Strict action will be taken against shops charging above Maximum Retail Price (MRP),” he said.
Nakate has taken swift action on complaints regarding overcharging by liquor shops in absence of approved rate list.
Shops were charging at will citing increase in liquor price in the new financial year. Since public was not aware of new rates, they were compelled to shell out the prices demanded by the shops.
“Now shops will not be able to charge exorbitantly. They will have to follow the approved rate list,” said a senior excise department officer.
