Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has caught an RAS officer – Suresh Kumar Aheer – red handed – taking bribe of ₹ 3 lakh. Aheer, who is serving as excise officer in Alwar had demanded ₹3 lakh from complainant for shifting his liquor shop near to the godown.
According to ACB officials, district excise officer Suresh Kumar Aheer was troubling the complainant for some time. He was demanding ₹6 lakh against shifting complainant's shop near the godown which could have saved time and money of the liquor vend owner. After receiving complaints, the ACB verified the complaint and asked the complainant to give ₹3 lakh to Aheer for trapping.
Recently, ACB had trapped IAS officer and Dudu district collector Hanu Mal Dhaka on bribery charges. However, it has been alleged that secret information of raid was leaked by police officials and the entire trap plan failed. The ACB, however lodged charges of graft against the collector.
