Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) has conducted raids in the premises of Dr Ranjan Lamba, who is medical officer in SMS hospital. The ACB had received complaints of disproportionate assets (DA) against Lamba, who has been on leave without pay for a long time.
According to sources, the raids have been conducted under instructions of ACB DG Rajeev Sharma.
“We have been receiving complaints of disproportionate assets for long time. Raids have been conducted after inputs from intelligence,” said an ACB official.
There was input of several properties of Dr. Lamba and ACB acted after approval from the court.
According to sources, Dr Sunita Lamba, wife of Dr Ranjan Lamba runs Spar Hospital and IVF centre in Jhunjhunu. Dr. Ranjan Lamba is said to have been working with his wife in Spar hospital.
Sources said that ACB is investigating whether Dr Ranjan has accumulated unaccountable wealth during his service as medical officer in SMS hospital.
The ACB has constituted five teams which are investigating about his assets and wealth at various location Jaipur, Sikar and Jhunjhunu.
