On Gandhi Jayanti, Anti Corruption Bureau has conducted raids on the several premises related to IAS Rajendra Vijay, who is serving as divisional commissioner Kota. Soon after the raid, Vijay was put on awaiting posting order (APO).
ACB has acted upon complaints of disproportionate assets against Vijay. The agency is conducting searches at two properties in Kota, one in Jaipur and also at his parental house in Dausa district.
According to ACB, the agency had received complaints of disproportionate assets, which it found valid after preliminary enquiry. Since the case is related to a senior IAS officer, the search is being monitored by ACB headquarters in Jaipur.
Who is Rajendra Vijay?
Rajendra Vijay is a 2010 batch IAS officer, promoted from state civil services. In past he had been district collector Baran, district collector Balotara, executive director RUIDP, settlement commissioner consolidation, joint secretary tourism department, deputy commissioner JDA and additional commissioner JDA among other postings.
On September 25, he joined as divisional commissioner Kota.
