A Muslim IAS Niyaz Khan to deliberate on Sanatan dharma with Bageshwar Baba

On a rare occasion, Niyaz Ahmed Khan, an IAS of 2014 batch of Madhya Pradesh cadre, a Muslim by religion, would be sharing stage with Bageshwar Dham's Pandit Dheerendra Shastri at Sarva Samaj Sabha programme to be held in Katni on December 25.

Khan will deliberate on Sanatan Dharma and will also speak on his newly launched book – Brahmin The Great.

An officer promoted from state civil services, Khan has courted several controversies in past for his progressive thinking and pro writings. In his latest book – Brahmin the Great – he has written that Brahmins have a super brain. He said that if Brahmins are given intellectual leadership in every field, if they are made advisers then things can improve within the country. He said that he appreciates Brahmins for their abilities and merit.

Recently, he courted controversy when he urged the Muslim brothers to look after cows and adopt vegetarianism. He said that they should not force non- to convert to Islam.

A post graduate in English literature, he has written eight books. In one of his books – Talaq, Talaq, Talaq – he criticised the practice of triple talaq. The book was boycotted by Maulvis and clerics and several copies were burnt at mosques in Guna and Bhopal.

Controversy related to Kashmir Files

He also entered into a controversy related to ten movie Kashmir Files. In a tweet to the maker of this movie Vivek Agnihotri, he asked him to make a movie on killings of Muslims also across the country. He suggested him to donate the proceeds of this movie for the rehabilitation of Kashmiri pandits. He was served a by Madhya Pradesh government for his outburst against the movie.
