On the lines of Judge Arpita Sahu of Banda district in Uttar Pradesh, who had sought permission from Chief Justice of India for ending her life due to sexual harassment at workplace, a former lady additional civil judge and judicial magistrate of Rajasthan's Nagaur district has written a letter to CJI, seeking justice.
She said that unlike Sahu, she will not seek permission to end her life or any sympathy. She is writing to get justice for judges in Rajasthan.
The former lady judge said that she had to lose her job on October 6, 2023 for raising voice against injustice in judiciary system.
The lady judge claimed that her cases disposal rate was highest in Rajasthan. Even then she was transferred four times in two years.

While writing the letter to CJI, she cited the date of 16 September, 2023 when she was posted as additional civil judge in Nagaur. She alleged that two advocates – P R Mohammad and Arjun Ram Kala came to her Dias and hurled abusive words, threatened her and indulged in violence.
She said that the advocates even abused Governor of the state also.
The lady judge said that she immediately informed SHO of Nagaur Kotwali and asked him file FIR on my verbal complaint.
She said that she initiated contempt proceedings against them. But the police didn't take any action. She alleged that even submit written complaint the FIR was not lodged.
“Two days after the incident on September 18, 2023, both the advocates used their influence on district judge and got me APO and later transferred to Jodhpur. I was in leave that day. But I was called back from leave midway and was asked to come to senior judge's chamber late at night, was harassed and taken over the charge of ACJ &JM- I court midnight at around 11:55 pm,” she said.
She alleged in the letter that on next day on October, 19, 2023 contempt proceedings, which were initiated by her was stated by ADJ-I Nagaur who was on leave for around 10 days but for reasons best known to him.
“He cancelled his leave for a day, stayed the contempt proceedings initiated by me, and then proceeded towards his remaining leave, which shows biased attitude towards me and favouring those advocates,” she alleged.
She said that thereafter she was
asked to report to Jodhpur district court on September 19, 2023 on the pretext of giving new posting.
“But in fact, I was handed over the discharge from service order on October 6, 2023 and was called in the district judge chamber late at night,” she said.
She rued that her job was taken away just because she had initiated contempt proceedings against two indisciplined advocates and raised her voice against them.
She alleged that she was discharged from the duty without being given any opportunity of being heard.
“In the past, I was shamefully harassed threatened harassed so much by few seniors, their advocate husband ,(Om Prakash,) other advocates namely Kaluram, Mahaveer, Vishnoi and Chandrashekar of Nagaur and due to harassment and threatening caused to me. I wrote written complaint against them to District Judge and Registrar General of Rajasthan High Court and also requested for police protection but no action was taken in respect of those complaint/ intimation sent by me,” she alleged.
Senior advocate and general secretary of Nagaur bar council Peer Mohammad denied allegations of lady judge. He said that he had been receiving complaints about misbehaviour of former judge from fellow advocates.
“She would not allow entry of advocates and would dismiss cases without hearing,” he said.
