Former OSD to Rajasthan CM, Anurag Vajpeyi transferred to Thiruvananthapuram

Anurag Vajpeyi, former officer on special duty (OSD) to Ashok Gehlot has been relieved from Rajasthan government, where he had come on deputation for two years. He has been repatriated to his parent department Information Service (IIS), where he has been transferred to Press Information Bureau, as deputy director.

However, Vajpayee is on two months terminal leave starting from November 12, 2023.

Vajpeyi, a promotee IIS officer, served as OSD to Ashok Gehlot for two years. His basic role was to handle the public relation of chief minister Ashok Gehlot.

However, with his limited access to specially national and English media, the projection of CM is said to be of not as per the expectation.

The Rajasthan government then hired Design Boxed, a digital marketing and campaign management company to enhance public image of Ashok Gehlot. This further limited the role of Vajpeyi in the system.
