“As per circular No. 437/6/1 of election commission, those officers who are under extension of service cant't carry out any work. Under his rule, chief secretary should be removed,” Rathore has written.

He has written that Sharma has received benefit from the state government as it gave her an extension on the post.

“There is a possibility that she can favour the Congress party and misuse her post,” he claimed.

Sharma should immediately be removed from the post of chief secretary and any decision taken by her after the Model Code of Conduct came into force should be invalidated, Rathore added.

Rathore has raised doubts over free and fair conduct of elections stating that Usha Sharma is a relative of assembly speaker and Congress candidate from Nathdwara C P Joshi.

“Under such circumstances, we fear that elections will not be conducted free and fair,” he wrote.
