Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot, on Wednesday, announced two new guarantees of Rs 10,000 annually to woman head of families and the expand the scope of beneficiaries of subsidised cylinder scheme from 76 lakh to 1.05 crore families of the state.
Currently, the state government gives subsidised gas cylinder at Rs 500 per cylinder.
Addressing a rally in Jhunjhunu in presence of Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi, Gehlot said if Congress government comes to power again, the government will give ata 10,000 annually to woman head of families in 2-3 instalments.
This is akin to central government's PM Kisan Samman Nidhi where poor farmers get an annual supply of Rs 6,000 in three equal instalments.
Priyanka Gandhi launched a sharp attack on BJP saying that the saffron party has no vision.
“They are not creating jobs. Public Sector companies are one of the biggest sources of employment generation. But BJP is selling these PSUs to its corporate friends. Had they given these PSUs to different corporates, situation would not have been bad. But they are giving it to select ones. They were even handing over the farming sector also to corporates,” she said.
