MP High Court directs state govt to take decision on Nisha Bangre’s resignation by Monday

The government has submitted an affidavit before the Jabalpur High stating that it will take decision on of deputy collector Nisha Bangre and the pending department enquiry on Monday.

The double bench of Justice Ravi Malimath and Justice Vishal Mishra has put the affidavit on record and told state government to take decision on Monday and submit action taken report on October 27 – the date of next hearing.

The Congress has declared candidates in all seats but put Amla hold probably for Bangre.

Bangre had moved Supreme Court on Wednesday for getting her resignation accepted from the state government. The Supreme Court had directed High Court to decide on the matter on fast track.

Bangre has time till October 30 to get the relieving from state government and file nomination, which starts from October 21 and ends on October 30.

Bangre has alleged that the state government is deliberately not accepting her resignation as the ruling BJP is afraid of Bangre's popularity in Amla constituency.

Bangre said that four officers had resigned from services which included on judge, one IAS officer, a teacher and a doctor.

“Government accepted resignation of all four within 24 hours. But it is harassing me as I am a supporter of opposite party,” she said.
