Driver of Degana MLA Vijaypal Mirdha has been missing since 17 months. So far there is no clue about the driver Tarachand, who went missing since May 12, 2022 when he had gone to drop MLA's family in Delhi.

Driver's father Devaram had approached Supreme Court demanding CBI enquiry into the disappearance of his son. The bench of Justice BR Gavai and Justice Prashant Kumar Mishra directs him to file his application with the Rajasthan High Court.
Devaram alleged that the police is not conducting free and independent enquiry into the missing case.
“Sahab knows everything. But he is misleading all. Since MLA is from ruling party, police is not cooperating. So much so that they (police) have not even questioned the MLA once. He had gone missing while on MLA's duty,” Devaram alleged.
MLA Vijaypal Mirdha, son of Richpal Mirdha, scion of famous political family of Mirdhas of Nagaur, said that he was also worried about the disappearance of his driver.
“It was me who told his father Devaram to demising case with the police. I have been enquiring from police about the update inthe case. What else can I do,” Vijaypal Mirdha said.
Mirdha said that he has done everything to find the driver.
“Tarachand had gone to Delhi and went missing on his way back. Where is my fault? He is not a kid that someone would take him away,” he said.
BJP leader Ajay Kilak, who had contested against him in last election, has also been attacking on Mirdha on this issue.
Mirdha had said that he will quit politics if he was found guilty i this case.
“You all are free to get CBI investigation done. If I will be found involved, I will never fight election,” he had said then.
The Political Impact
The politics of Nagaur is on boil after Jyoti Mirdha, another member of Mirdha family, quit Congress to join BJP. There were rumours that Richpal Mirdha along with his son sitting MLA Vijaypal will also join BJP. But Congress made Richapal Mirdha president of Veer Tejaji Welfare Board and gave him the status of minister of state.
The case of missing driver will be raised during the elections if aypal gets ticket from Congress.
