In a rare, chief of both Congress and BJP in Rajasthan in pursuit of power

This is a rare occasion when chief of both the ‘warring parties' – Congress and – are on visit to Rajasthan on same day. The visits of both the leaders are significant as both the parties are in the process of announcing candidates for the elections. While BJP has released a list of 41 candidates on seats which the parties was believing to be tough, Congress is yet to announce names.

“A lot will depend upon today's visit. Both the leaders will asses the situation on ground of their respective parties and their feedback will play an important role in deciding fate of prospective candidates,” said a senior BJP leader

Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge is in Baran today to flag off the Pradesh Congress Committee's (PCC) poll yatra – centered on the issue of Eastern Rajasthan Canal Project (ERCP).

The yatra will cover all the 13 districts, which are going to be benefitted form ERCP. These districts include Jaipur, Bharatpur, Dholpur, Bundi, Baran, Jhalawar, Karauli, Sawai Madhopur, Tonk, Alwar, Ajmer, and Kota.

BJP national president Jagat Prakash Nadda is visiting Udaipur today to interact with the party workers ahead of the state polls.

According to party leaders, during the course of his visit, Nadda will visit Udaipur, where he will conduct meetings in two sessions for the Udaipur region at Hotel Howard Johnson.

The meetings will include party workers and office bearers from Udaipur city, Chittorgarh, and .
JP Nadda will hold a meeting at 1 p.m. with party office bearers from Dungarpur, Rajsamand, and .

After concluding the Udaipur region meetings, Nadda will travel to Jodhpur around 4 p.m., where he is to conduct meetings with officials from the Jodhpur region in two sessions at Hotel Kasturi Orchid.

The first session will involve officials from Jalore, Pali, and Sirohi districts. During this, he will also address a gathering of conscientious citizens.
Afterwards, he will strategise with officials from the northern and southern parts of Jodhpur city, as well as officials from Barmer, Balotara, and Jaisalmer districts.
