The farmer from Jaisalmer Madhuram whose photo was used in BJP's campaign against Congress farm land auction without his consent has filed defamation case against the BJP at Ramdevra police station.

The photo in the hoarding had a sulking farmer (Madhuram) saying that land of 19,000 farmers will be auctioned due to non-payment of loan – Nahi sahega (Rajasthan will not tolerate).

However, Madhuram said that he had never taken any farm loan and is owner of 200 bighas of land.

“BJP has brought disgrace and defame to me. People in my society think that I am loan defaulter while I have never taken any loan. Even chaiwala asks me for money first before giving me tea,” rued Madhuram.

He had also met chief and complained about the misrepresentation by BJP to which Gehlot had assured for removing all the hoarding and posters.

“I have got 200 bighas of land and I have not taken loan till date. So there is no question of auctioning of my land. They have used my photo without my permission and it is causing loss of respect among my fellow villagers,” said a dejected Madhuram of Ramdevra village in Jaisalmer, 750 kms from Jaipur where his photo was used.

How the issue came into notice of Madhuram ?

Madhuram came to know about the hoarding when a youth from his village returned from Jaipur. He saw photograph of Madhuram on the hoardings and shared it on whats app groups. Madhuram's son saw one of those whats app messages and showed it to Madhuram. Both son and father are now angry at BJP for letting him down in eyes of society.

“I don't know about Kisan Credit Card. I have never taken loan in my life. BJP should immediately remove my photo,” Madhuram reiterated.

The of BJP Kisan Morcha and member of parliament Bhagirath Choudhary said that farmers are facing auction of their land as Congress government has not fulfilled its promise of loan waiver.

“The content of the hoarding is true picture of the fact. However, I have no idea about the photograph used,” said Choudhary.
