Ever since BJP has flagged off Parivartan yatra in Rajasthan, former chief minister Vasundhara Raje seems to be back in action. She is actively participating in party's activities, addressing rallies with the same enthusiasm and holding meeting with senior BJP leaders at state BJP office.
Raje, who had kept herself in a wrap for last four and half years, suddenly bubbling with confidence and energy.
According to political analysts who are keeping close watch in BJP's internal politics, Raje's confidence multiplied in a recent rally in Gogamedi (Hanumangarh) in which union road transport minister Nitin Gadkari appreciated the leadership and qualities of Vasundhara Raje as chief minister. Backed by Gadkari Vasundhara also looked in her signature form lambasting the Gehlot government and roaring for return in power.
During this, she also won praises from her old-time bête noire Satish Poonia, who in a rare gesture appreciated Vasundhara Raje's previous regime. He openly praised her performance as chief minister.
“Poonia also finds himself alienated after C P Joshi took over the reins of state president from him. His step towards Raje is curiously watched in the political circle specially when BJP is seen divided in camps,” said Sanjay Singh Shekhawat, a political analyst.
Poonia's ‘soft' demeanour towards Raje has some political messaging. But Poonia said that Raje is a respectable senior leader of our party.
“The decision of leadership in the state is prerogative of parliamentary board of party. They will decide at the right time,” Punia said
