Punjab Govt transfers six IAS, 1 PCS 

The has transferred six officers and one PCS officer. Jitendra Jorwal and Girish Dayalan, who were awaiting posting order (APO), have been reinstated as Taxation Commissioner and Additional Commissioner and Director General School Education, respectively.

While Jorwal was without a posting for almost a month, Dayalan was transferred last week and was not given any posting immediately.

Other than these two officers, Rajiv Prashar has been given charge of Secretary, Punjab Human Rights Commission; Vinay Bublani is now Commissioner, Patiala division; Mohinder Pal is Secretary, Industries and Commerce, and GPS Sahota has become the Executive Director of Punjab Backward Classes Land and Finance Corporation.

Apart from that, Manjeet Singh Cheema, a 2014 batch PCS officer has been transferred as director colonisation against vacant post. He was serving as additional commissioner taxation-1, Patiala.
