Shubham Chaudhary, a 2014 batch IAS officer of Rajasthan cadre has received Chief Minister Excels Award for innovation in the field of education in Sawai Madhopur district.
Chaudhary, who has been serving as collector of Sawai Madhopur since September 2024, has launched three initiatives in the district – Mission Samvaad, Mission Nidar and Bhavishya Ki Udaan 2.0 – to facilitate social and educational reforms.
Chaudhary, an alumnus of prestigious institutes like Saint Stephen's College and Delhi School of Economics, Shubham has worked in e education sector before joining civil services. She has served as Assistant Professor in Delhi University. No wonder her initiatives education field not only brought laurels for the state but also marked positive changes in the social makeup.
Her initiative Mission Samvaad helped 37,000 students of the district enhance reading habits, develop inter personal skills and catered to personality development.
Mission Nidar is aimed at boosting confidence among 15,800 girls by teaching them self defence techniques and make them visit police stations to familiarise them about the working of police. This initiative not only built confidence and trust among girls but also helped them get over hesitation and fear for police force.
The third initiative – Bhavishya ki Udaan – is aimed at bringing reforms in the society. Under this initiative Chaudhary worked for involvement of social groups to develop school and other public infrastructure. She motivated people to give away the rituals of Mrityu Bhoj and collected Rs 2.3 crore which was used in development of public infrastructure. Under this initiative the district administration raised Rs 29.75 crore to be used for public welfare.
