Rajasthan has emerged as the best performing state in improving regulatory environment for promoting ease of logistics.
This was recognised in LEADS-2024 report which is an annual assessment released by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to promote inter-state competitiveness and help policymakers improve logistics performance.
LEADS has been conceived on the lines of Logistics Performance Index of World Bank.
Ajitabh Sharma, Rajasthan's principal secretary industries and chairman RIICO said that the recognition will help Rajasthan emerge as one of the hottest logistics hub.

“We have launched Rajasthan Logistics Policy – 2025. This will set the tone right for development of logistics hub in the state,” he said.
Rajasthan is strategically located for becoming the logistics node for the country. Around 40% of dedicated freight corridor passes through Rajasthan making the state a promising centre for freight transportation and logistics hub.
“The recognition by the union commerce and industry ministry will help large logistics companies eye Rajasthan for business development. The industry friendly logistics-policy will further boost the economic development of the state,” said a senior official.
The logistics policy will reduce logistics costs by encouraging industrial development and increasing connectivity in the state and establish Rajasthan as a logistics hub,” an official said.
Attractive provisions in the policy include special discounts and grants and capital subsidy of up to 25 per cent of eligible fixed capital investment (EFCI) of ₹50-500 million for ten years for warehouse, silo, cold storage, inland container depot, container freight station, air freight station, cargo terminal and trucker park.
