Dholpur collector Sreenidhi BT is man of steel. He led from the front while removing encroachment from outside the residence of Congress MLA Rohit Bohra on April 4, 2025.
Knowing well the sensitivity of the issue involving sitting MLA, Sreenidhi volunteered to lead the enforcement team. He went there and drove the team to remove the encroachment.
In the process supporters of MLA Rohit Bohra including his uncle manhandled the collector, grabbed collar of his shirt. But that was not enough to intimidate Sreenidhi. After facing aggression from the crowd mobilised by the MLA supporters, collectors directed security and police to handle the crowd with iron hand and arrested people involved in frenzy.
Undeterred by the advancing crowd, collector continued to discharge his duty. This has set an example for young collectors who want to lead from front.
Rajasthan's IAS Association secretary Samit Sharma told The BuckStopper that the association is standing in support of Sreenidhi BT.
“There have been arrests against the miscreants. This was an unfortunate incident. But Sreenidhi is comfortable now. If need be, association will extend all necessary support,” he said.
Who is Sreenidhi BT?
Sreenidhi BT is a 2017 batch IAS officer. This is his first assignment as collector. He has been on this post since January 2024.
A native of Karnataka, Sreenidhi, 37, has served as Commissoner Ajmer Development Authority, CEO of zila parishad Bharatpur and Jhalawar in the past. He is considered as an upright and effective officer.
