Mamta Yadav, a 2011 batch RAS officer, has been reinstated. She was suspended after getting arrested on corruption charges while serving as deputy commissioner in Jaipur Development Authority.
A review committee, in its meeting on February 18, 2025, recommended for her reinstating. She was suspended since February 7, 2022. Her arrest hit the headlines as she had, “Who will not accept if someone is willingly offering prasad in temple.”
Why Mamta Yadav was suspended?
Mamta Yadav was suspended when Anti Corruption Bureau trapped heri for demanding Rs 3.5 lakh against issuing a land patta.
As per ACB record, complainant had submitted an application JDA for a residential lease of 400 square metres of land located in Siddharth Nagar, JDA Zone-4.

At the same time, his neighbour had also applied for a residential lease. Complainant had alleged that Mamta Yadav, then deputy commisioner of Zone 4 had demanded Rs 3.5 lakh each for issuing the pattas.
Yadav asserted constant pressure on complainant and refused to issue pattas without bribe. Later, the complainant bargained and settled to offer Rs 6.5 lakh for the work.
He sounded ACB and went to Mamta Yadav office along with bribe amount of Rs 1.10 lakh. Yadav instructed her computer operator to take the bribe amount. ACB sleuths immediately arrested the computer operator and seized her office. After interrogation, Yadav was arrested and put in jail. Later she got bail from High Court. The case is pending with ACB court.
“Regularisation of service during the suspension period will depend upon the final order of the court,” said an official of personnel department.
