Jaipur to host Rising Rajasthan with Diwali like lighting 

Jaipur is gearing up for second Diwali celebrations from 7-11 December when the city would be decked up to welcome investment (Goddess Lakshmi) at the Global Investment Summit to be held from 9-11 December, 2024.

will light up all government offices and traffic circles, on important roads like Secretariat, Vidhan Sabha, Vitta Bhawan, Vidyut Bhawan, Udyog Bhawan, Nagar Nigam, JDA, Albert Hall, Ambedkar Circle and Gandhi Circle among others be lighted up in a uniform pattern.

In a letter to principal secretaries of local self governance, urban development and public works department, principal secretary Ajitabh Sharma has asked PWD department to convene a meeting of all departments to coordinate and ensure uniformity in lighting.

“As directed, it is requested that PWD may undertake lighting up of all government buildings and Vidhan Sabha. Lighting up of monuments such as Albert Hall, circles (Ambedkar Circle, Gandhi Nagar Circle) may be undertaken by UDH/JDA/LSG. The budget for the lighting may be borne out of the funds of the respective departments,” Sharma wrote in the letter. 

On Saturday, secretary Sudhansh Pant along with his team of senior officers took stock of preparations for the summit. He visited the venue – JECC at Sitapura Industrial area – to oversee the preparations and plans. 

The summit will have strategic conferences, thematic sessions, round table deliberations and presentations. Prime Minister will inaugurate the event and it will bring together leading investors from all over the world, senior State Government officials, foreign delegations and local business community for interactions on investment environment and opportunities in Rajasthan.
