ACB seizes property documents and cash from IAS Rajendra Vijay

The properties included an opulent mansion at Tonk Road and a commercial property in C-Scheme where showroom of fashion chain Zudio is being operated.

The agency also seized cash Rs 2.22 lakh, 11.8 kg silver ornaments, 335 gram gold jewellery and three cars from Vijay, who is a 2010 batch IAS officer promoted from state civil service. He is due to retire in January 2026.

The ACB in the morning has raided premises of Vijay in Kota, and his native place Dausa on complaints of disproportionate assets.

The agency has also seized pass books of 16 bank accounts in which lakhs of money are found to be deposited. It has also found policies of LIC and documents of investments. One bank locker is yet to be opened. 

The ACB said that the seizure of assets is in disproportionate of income. It said that the agency has found documents indicating more investment and properties in name of relatives and friends. 

According to sources, DG ACB Ravi Prakash Meharda got tip from someone about disproportionate assets of Rajendra Vijay. After preliminary enquiry when the inputs were found correct, ACB raided premises of Vijay.

Soon after the raid, Rajendra Vijay was put on APO and his charge was given to Ravindra Goswami, district collector Kota.

Before taking over as divisional Kota, Vijay was posted as executive director RUIDP. But he was transferred from there within 20 days. He had served as special secretary in food and civil supplies, collector of Balotara and Baran, joint secretary in tourism department, deputy commissioner and additional commissioner in JDA and settlement commissioner in consolidation among other postings.
