Rajasthan government is coming up with new mineral policy -2024 to give away with rules which have become redundant with time.
The chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, who is also the mines minister, had observed in a review meeting that several provisions of Rajasthan Mineral Policy -2015 have become outdated and irrelevant.
“A new policy with relevant and investor and economic friendly provisions are needed for long term visions and sustainable development of the state,” he had said emphasising the need for a new contemporary policy on mineral and mining.
T Ravikanth, principal secretary mines and petroleum said that the new mineral policy-2024 is aimed at planning for Viksit Rajasthan- 2047.
“The new policy will encourage use of world class technology in mining and exploration, environment protection, better management of mineral resources, residue management and processing. It will also attract investment in this sector with transparent and business friendly provisions,” he said.
