IAS hailing from Rajasthan takes over as special chief secretary of land in Andhra Pradesh 

Hailing from Rajasthan, Ram Prakash Sisodia, a 1991-batch IAS officer has taken over as special secretary (land) in Andhra government

Ram Prakash Sisodia, a 1991-batch IAS has assumed charge as special chief secretary (lands, stamps and , disaster management) of revenue department in Andhra Pradesh

A batchmate of Rajasthan chief secretary Sudhansh , Sisodia hails from Rajasthan. He had been in the ‘cold storage during the previous YSRCP government. Initially he was shifted as  special chief secretary to in 2019. And then the govt posted him as director general AP Human Resources Development Institute (AP HRDI), which was considered as a punishment posting for a very senior official. He used that time to enhance his knowledge and penning books.

Now with the change of guards, the TDP government brought him back to mainstream by giving him an important post. 

Sisodia met the revenue minister Anagani Satya Prasad immediately after taking charge and sought his support. Sisodia is known as an upright and honest officer. With back in mainstream, the Andhra government is expecting innovation and speed in the land and revenue department.

Sisodia is mainly responsible for introduction of Rashtriya Uchatar Siksha Abhiyan (RUSA) by the Centre to extend financial support to the universities. He prevailed upon the union cabinet by making a presentation when he served the Human Resources Ministry on central deputation.

An alumnus of Mohan Lal Sukhadia University , Ram Prakash Sisodia has the honour of being the first IAS office from the university, where he had completed Masters degree in Zoology. Later Sisodia cracked the prestigious UPSC examination in the first attempt. He is an avid reader a prolific writer. He has penned four books including a book of 23 short stories-A World Lost. 

From the deserts of Rajasthan to the water of river Krishna, Sisodia has travelled a long way. So much so that he has become an ace swimmer, trekker, cyclist, animal and nature lover.
