In a late night reshuffle of IAS officers, Rajasthan government transferred 33 IAS officer and five additional charge to 11 IAS officers. In the list, three divisional commissioners and eight collectors have also been reshuffled.
Alok, a 1993-batch IAS, who was repatriated last month from central deputation and then posted as principal resident commissioner, New Delhi has been called back to handle the ‘hot' energy department as additional chief secretary. Alok is said to have an expertise in energy sector. He had served as director in central ministry of power and director general in national mission for enhanced energy efficiency (NMEEE). He had also served as secretary in state's energy department and cmd state vidyut prasaran nigam limited from January 2014 to October 2014.
Alok has again come in the similar role but at the level of additional chief secretary. He has also been given additional charge of chairman vidyut prasaran nigam.
The task for Alok will be challenging in view of shortage in power generation and steep losses of discoms.
Alok has also been given additional charge of principal resident commissioner, New Delhi and chairman Rajasthan Urja Vikas and IT services limited.
Aparna Arora, also from 1993 batch, has been transferred from revenue and colonisation department to additional chief secretary forest, environment and climate change, a department which ACS to chief minister Shikhar Agrwal was handling. He is also from 1993 batch. Arora was handling revenue and colonisation department since October 2022.
Alok Gupta, who has recently been appointed as principal secretary to chief minister has been given additional charge of key portfolios – chairman Rajasthan Renewable Energy Corporation (RREC) and principal secretary DIPR.
Dinesh Kumar, a 1996-batch IAS officer, has been transferred from GAD, estate, state motor garage and civil aviation to principal secretary revenue and colonisation.
Naveen Mahajan, a 1997 batch IAS officer has been transferred from director general HCM RIPA to chairman and managing director Rajasthan State Warehousing Corporation. It is little better posting than his previous assignment but officers feel that he had been kept at bay for long. Hemant Gera, who is principal secretary, department of personnel, has been given additional charge of director general HCM RIPA.
Bhanu Prakash Yeturu, who is serving as chairman discoms, will also have to serve as managing director Jaipur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited. The term of managing director JVVNL R N Kumawat has ended and the state government has decided to give this key posting to a bureaucrat instead of a retired official of chief engineer level. This is considered a good step looking at the precarious situation of energy department.
Sudhir Kumar Sharma, who was serving as managing director RIICO, has been transferred to serve as secretary general administration and state motor garage. He has been replaced by Sushma Arora, who was serving as managing director, Rajasthan Cooperative Dairy Federation Limited. Sushma Arora had a successful tenure in dairy. She has been credited to revamp the SARAS parlour, a concept developed by his elder brother Jagdish Chandra, a former IAS, who was then serving at her position. Vikas Sitaramji Bhale, who is serving as principal secretary, animal husbandry, fisheries and gaupalan, will have the additional responsibility of managing director RCDF.
Kumar Pal Gautam, 2009 batch IAS officer, who was serving as commissioner Housing Board, has been transferred as commissioner skill development, employment and entrepreneurship. During his tenure as housing board commissioner the dlc rates of housing board colonies were increased bringing good value to board projects.
Gautam has been replaced by Inderjeet Singh, a 2010 batch officer, who was serving as commissioner IT and communication and managing director RajComp Info Services Limited. Singh, however, will constitute to serve previous assignment as an additional charge along with the responsibility of commissioner housing board.
Among other notable transfers, Bhagwati Prasad Kalal, who was serving as Bikaner collector, has been moved to director mines and geological department. Namrata Vrishni, who was serving as joint secretary finance will replace him as Bikaner collector.
Nathmal Didel, who was serving as managing director roadways will now serve as managing director state vidyut prasaran nigam limited. He will also hold additional charge of managing director RREC.
Anil Dhaka, Indian Revenue Service Officer (IRS), who was on deputation to Rajasthan government and a has been serving as managing director RREC, has been removed for the post.
OM Prakash Kasera, who was serving as excise commissioner, has been transferred as managing director, Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited. He has been replaced by Ansh Deep, who was serving as district collector Sri Ganganagar. He has recently been awarded for innovation during the assembly election.
Lok Bandhu, who was serving as Bharatpur collector, has been transferred to Sri Ganganagar while Amit Yadav, who was Nagaur collector will replace Lok Bandhu as Bharatpur collector.
Arun Kumar Purohit, who was serving as Barmer collector, has been transferred as Nagaur collector while Nishant Jain, who was serving as Jalore collector will replace Purohit as Barmer collector.
Apart from that Hem Pushpa Sharma, who was serving as joint secretary, finance (expenditure), has been transferred as secretary JDA. The post was vacant after chief secretary had put then JDA secretary Nalini Kathotia on APO after CS did not find her in the office.
Additional Charge to IAS officers
Rajeshwar Singh, who was serving as chairman revenue board will have additional charge of chairman tax board also while additional chief secretary to chief minsiter Shikhar Agrawal has been given additional charge of chairman pollution control board and ACS civil aviation department.
Shreya Guha, who is serving as ACS transport will have additional charge of chairman and managing director Rajasthan Roadways.
