Haryana government is serious on raising spiritual quotient of its officers. All IAS, IPS and state public services officers are likely to attend ‘Ethics Conclaves' (Naitikta Shivirs) stating from today at Karnal and Panchkula, with spiritual and motivational speakers addressing them in various sessions.
According to official sources, 141 IAS officers, 83 IPS officers, 34 IFS officers, and 171 HCS officers would be attending the Karnal conclave on 31 January while another 11 IAS officers, 22 IPS officers, 96 HCS officers and 23 Haryana Forests Service (HFS) officers will attend the one at Panchkula on 6 February.
The Ethics Conclave is a part of Haryana's flagship programme – Mission Karmyogi – aimed at grooming more than 3 lakh government employees for greater citizen centricity and ethical outlook.
In today's event, Gyananandji Maharaj will deliver a lecture on these aspects while Sudhanshuji Maharaj of Vishwa Jagriti Mission will address the participants on 6 February.
The agenda of these conclaves so to signify the importance of workplace ethics, integrity and culture of doing the right things in the face of temptation and adversity. It is aimed at inculcating accountability and honesty among officers.
The government held one such conclave in Gurugram on 14 June last year where Swami Sarvalokanandaji Maharaj from Ramakrishna Mission, Delhi, and Gita Manishi Swami Gyananand Ji Maharaj spoke about ethics, morality and work culture. Haryana chief minister Manohar Lal Khattar will give key note addresses on both days.
