Alok IAS repatriated from centre again gets Delhi posting

Alok, a 1993 batch IAS was called back to Rajasthan from centre after four years. It was speculated that he will get plum posting

In a surprising decision, IAS officer Alok who has been repatriated from centre last week, has been sent back to New Delhi as principal resident .

The post was being held as an additional charge by Dinesh Kumar, who is principal secretary general administration, cabinet, civil aviation, chief of protocol and director general civil aviation. Dinesh Kumar is a 1996 batch IAS officer. The post of chief resident commissioner is being held by Sudhansh Pant.

Alok, a 1993 batch IAS officer was serving as additional secretary in National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) under ministry of home affairs. The chairperson of NDMA is prime minister Narendra Modi.

On his return, there were speculations that he may join some important department. But surprisingly, he has been sent back to Delhi with an insignificant posting. 

In another move, Jasmeet Singh Sandhu, a 2016 batch IAS officer has been transferred to Salumbar as district collector and district magistrate. He was serving as joint chief executive officer, in state health assurance agency. 

The government has cancelled its transfer order dated January 10, 2024 in which Mukul Sharma, who is director civil aviation, controller circuit house and general administration was transferred as district collector Salumbar. Sharma, a 2013 batch IAS, promote form state civil services, will continue to hold his previous post. 

The order also entailed additional charges to 12 IAS officers:

Kuldeep Ranka, who is additional chief secretary social justice and empowerment and panchayatiraj (social justice and empowerment) will hold additional charge of state commissioner (specially abled).

, who is additional chief secretary transport, has been given additional charge of chairman, Rajasthan state bus terminal development authority. 

Anand Kumar, additional chief secretary, home affairs has been given additional charge of commissioner public safety department.

Ajitabh Sharma, the top most official of industries department, has been given additional charge of chairman Rajsico and commissioner Rajasthan Foundation. Both these posts were previously occupied by political appointees. While Congress leader Rajiv Arora was chairman Rajsico, former RAS officer and Congress leader Dhiraj Srivastava was handling the post of commissioner Rajasthan Foundation.

Vaibhav Galriya, who is principal secretary of agriculture and horticulture, has been given additional charge of Rajasthan state seeds corporation limited. The post was earlier occupied by a political appointee – Dheeraj Gurjar of Congress.

T Ravikanth, who is principal secretary urban development and housing has been given additional charge of chairman Jaipur city transport services limited. He is also holding additional charge of chief minsiter's office.

Arti Dogra, secretary department of information and communication, will hold additional charge of chairman Rajcomp Info Services Limited.

Laxman Singh Kudi, commissioner horticulture, has been given additional charge of director Rajasthan state agriculture marketing and ex officio joint secretary and administrator of agriculture marketing board.

Pragya Kewalramani, who is commissioner devasthan department, will hold additional charge of director, mine is and geological department.

Rashmi Sharma, director of tourism department will hold additional charge of chief executive officer of mela development authority.

Gaurav Agrawal, who is district collector will have additional charge of district collector of newly create Jodhpur rural district split from Jodhpur district. Agrawal is 2013-batch topper.

Saloni Khemka, who is chief executive officer of Bhiwadi Integrated Development Authority (BIDA) has been given additional charge of deputy chief executive officer of Kushkhera-Bhiwadi-Neemarana regional development authority.
