Rajasthan government announces half day public holiday on January 22

Rajasthan government announced half day public holiday on January 22 to let people indulge in the Pran Pratishtha of Lord Ram to be held at Ayodhya

Rajasthan chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma announced on the eve of commencement of the assembly session. 

The Rajasthan government has already declared January 22 as dry day with a complete ban on sale of liquor on that day. 

Bhajan Lal Sharma's cabinet colleagues Suresh Singh Rawat and Kanhaiya Lal Choudhary have been requesting the chief minister to grant a full day leave in January 22. 

Other like Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Goa and Chhattisgarh where BJP government is there, are observing full public holiday day.

The Pran Pratishtha of the Ram Temple is scheduled for January 22, with preparations in full swing. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and dignitaries from 55 countries, including ambassadors and MPs will grace the occasion. Sages and saints from every corner of are set to participate.
