Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann gives away appointment letters to new recruits in police to strengthen the investigation department

The Punjab chief minister Bhagwant Mann distributed appointment letters to 461 new personnel to strengthen the police. 

These recruits will assume responsibilities as head constables in the Bureau of Investigation, focusing on thorough investigations to ensure for the people.

Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann handed over appointment letters to the newly recruited officers in a ceremony held at Sector-35, Chandigarh. Emphasising the need for a fully updated police force, he highlighted plans to incorporate advanced technologies, including artificial intelligence, to combat crime effectively. The is actively working to relieve the police force from additional duties.

Furthermore, the government aims to facilitate online appearances of prisoners in courtrooms by setting up chambers in jails. The launch of the Road Security Force (RSF) on January 26 is anticipated to contribute significantly to highway safety, preventing accidents. Chief Minister Mann acknowledged that the presence of such a force could have prevented the recent loss of four soldiers.

Addressing the pressure previously imposed on the police force, Mann asserted that there is no shortage of funds for the police, and modern facilities are being provided. He took the opportunity to criticize senior leaders of the Shiromani Akali Dal, pointing out instances of political interference in Bathinda. This statement was based on information shared by an officer who faced challenges due to conflicting orders from family members and the local legislator.

In his advice to the newly officers, CM Mann stressed the importance of maintaining respect for the position they hold. He encouraged them to be recognised by their deeds and recommended treating seniors with honour and juniors with kindness.
