7 sitting MLAs denied tickets, 35 new candidates in Congress fourth list of 56

Congress has given new candidates on 35 out of 56 seats announced on Tuesday. Out of 35, the party has denied tickets to 7 sitting MLAs taking a big risk.

The Congress so far has announced 151 candidates out of 200 seats. In first list, the party has announced 33 candidates followed by 43 in second and 19 in third list.

The fourth list is conspicuous by absence of big names like Mahesh Joshi, and Dharmendra Rathore who were said to be involved in September 25 incident when the Congress MLAs convened a meeting contravening the scheduled legislative party meeting.

Manavendra Singh, son of Jaswant Singh is being fielded from Siwana (). He was said to be interested in getting ticket from Sheo ( Jaisalmer). In last elections, Manavendra Singh had challenged former Vasundhara Raje.

The party has fielded national spokesperson Gaurav Vallabh from Udaipur. It's has also fielded Vikas Choudhary Kishangarh. Chaudhary had recently joined Congress from BJP which has denied him the ticket in this election. In last elections Choudhary has lost to Suresh Tank, an independent candidate. The party has also given ticket to Surendra Goyal from Jaitaran. Goyal os former UDH minister in Raje's cabinet who had left BJP in last elections and contested as independent candidate.

The Congress has also denied ticket to Khiladi Lal Bairwa who is sitting from Baseri and a loyalist of . Bairwa had accompanied Pilot during his nomination at Tonk.

The party has given to tickets to two independents who had supported Congress – Mahadev Singh Khandela from Khandela and Kanti Prasad Meena from Thanagazi.
