20 IFS officers promoted in Rajasthan

As many 20 IFS (Indian Forest Service) officers got promoted in the new year. According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel, five officers of the 2006 batch – Sharda Pratap Singh, Manphool Singh, Sedu Ram Yadav, Bega Ram Jat and Raj Kumar Jain – have been elevated from forest conservator pay scale to chief forest conservator pay scale (level 14 in pay matrix). 

Similarly, officers of the 2010 batch – Bijo Joy, Kapil Chandrawal, Sudeep Kaur and Supongsashi – have been promoted to the pay scale of forest conservator from selection grade. IFS Vikram Kesharee Pradhan, who is on and serving as deputy secretary in the union ministry of processing has been given proforma promotion while Anita has also been given proforma promotion.

Likewise, officers of the 2011 batch – Sugna Ram Jat, Sonal Jourihar, Ashutosh Ojha, Sangram Singh Katiyar, Monali Sen, and Upkar Borana – have been elevated from junior administrative group scale to selection grade scale (level 13 in pay matrix). 

Apart from that, two IFS officers of the 2015 batch – Gaurav Garg and Apoorva Krishna Srivastava – have been elevated from senior pay scale to junior administrative group pay scale of the Indian Forest Service.

Muthu S, a 2020 batch IFS, who is serving as assistant conservator of Forest (under training) has been promoted to the senior pay scale from the junior pay scale. 

The order directs all the officers to continue to serve in the same capacity till further orders.

Ninety-seven IFS officers are serving in . Of them, 11 are on deputation to the centre and other states. Munish Kumar Garg, a 1988 batch officer is head of the forest force (HoFF). Under his leadership, the force has been able to perform well.
As far as forest tourism is concerned, Sariska and reserves are the most important spots. In Rajasthan, the forest force so far has been a disciplined cadre with good efficient officers.
