Rajasthan government will spend Rs 150 crore for carrying out infrastructure development in Ghiloth and Neemrana industrial areas developed by RIICO.
Rajasthan chief minister said that these two industrial areas are proving to be growth engines in Rajasthan's economy.
“There are 51 Japanese companies established in the country's first Japanese zone, Neemrana. More than 27,000 people are working here,” he said on his visit to Neemarana-Ghiloth industrial area.
Sharma said that Japanese trade body JETRO along with 7 Japanese companies participated in the recently held Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit.
“We are focusing on ease of doing business in the state. We expect more Japanese companies to set up their shops in Rajasthan . We have established the second Japanese zone in Ghiloth to house more Japanese companies,” he said.
Takashi Suzuki, Director General of JETRO, said that Japanese companies have had a great experience in the Japanese zone of the Neemrana industrial area.
“In future, more investment in the state will be made by Japanese companies,” he said.
Sharma said that Neemrana Day was celebrated in Tokyo (Japan) in collaboration with the Indian Embassy, Tokyo and JETRO on September 11 during his visit to Japan.
“Similarly, we will celebrate Neemrana Day annually on September 11 with participation of the state government and RIICO,” he said.
Rs 150 crore development works to be done in Neemrana and Ghiloth
Sharma said that various development works worth about Rs 150 crore are being started soon in Neemrana and Gheloth.
Under this, work orders have been issued for the construction of 1620 metres cc road from NH-48 to Keswana industrial area at a cost of Rs 3.5 crore and supply of two firefighting vehicles of 4500 litres capacity each in the industrial area Neemrana at a cost of Rs 90 lakh.
Sharma said that 132 KV grid sub station (GSS) will be set up in the general zone and Japanese zone each in industrial area of Neemrana. In Ghiloth a 220 KV GSS will be established while in Kolila Jaga a 33 KV GSS will be set up. The total cost of setting up GSS will be around Rs 100 crore.
He said that solar energy should be used in industries to reduce dependence on fossil fuels.
He announced the strengthening of the link road from NH-48 to the industrial area of Ghiloth and the construction of street lights at a cost of about Rs 19 crore in the industrial area of Ghiloth.
“As many as 9 greenfield expressways are being built in the state for the expansion of industrial development. We are also considering to bring water from ERCP to solve the water problem in Neemrana,” he said.
