Less than a month after the selection panel recommended promotion of 11 officers of Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) to IndianAdministrative Service (IAS), the Government of India has appointed them in the IAS cadre.
The DoPT has also asked chief secretary Sudhansh Pant to furnish proposal of fixation of seniority and year of allotment.
All these officers are of 1997 batch – Shaheen Ali Khan, Aakash Tomar, Arun Kumar Hasija, Manish Goyal, Matadeen Meena, Kamalram Meena, Himmat Singh Barhat, Dr Rakesh Sharma, Purushottam Sharma Dewaram Saini and Ajay Aswal.
Highest number of promotee IAS are in 2013 batch
The largest batch of promotee IAS officers is 2013 batch where 17 officer of state civil service have been promoted followed by 2014 batch which consists 16 officers. The 2010 batch has 11 RAS officers promoted to IAS. It also has one officer from special selection.
