The Department of Personnel (DoP), Rajasthan government has sent show cause notices to 11 Rajasthan Administrative Services (RAS) officers for not joining their new posting after transfer.
These officers included Surendra Singh Yadav, Hanuman Singh Rathore, Suman Sonam, Prabhjot Gill, Hemraj Gurjar, Rakesh Kumar (II), Jagdish Singh, Brijesh Gupta, Bhavna Singh, Puneet Kumar Gailra and Srikant Vyas.
Rajasthan government, on January 5, had transferred 121 RAS officers, most of them were officers in district administration at the level of additional district magistrate and sub divisional magistrates.
Apart from that the DoP has also asked four officers to appear before the medical board. These officers included Shiv Charan Meena, Rakesh Kumar Gupta, Rakesh Kumar Meena and Gaurishankar Meena. These officers have cited their bad health as reason for not joining the new posting.
Last year also, the DoP has taken action against officers who have not joined after getting transferred. Some of them were suspended on disciplinary grounds.
